Lahore deserves
a thoughtful guide.
Lahori Basant is an independent information website about the city’s kite festival, its people and the practical details of celebrating responsibly.
The Lahori Basant editorial desk
We publish sourced summaries and practical guides under the Lahori Basant name. These are editorial compilations, not claims of on-the-ground reporting or professional legal advice. Contact info@lahoribasant.com for corrections. AI-assisted writing, design and coding tools help prepare this site; linked sources remain the basis for factual claims.
How we choose what to publish
Official notices are our first reference for permissions. News summaries identify their source and reporting date. Conflicting schedules are shown as unresolved until a current notice can be verified. We correct information when a credible new source is supplied.
What “listed” means
Shop entries describe publicly available seller information. None currently carries independent 2027 licence verification. Listing a business does not certify its stock, service or permission to trade. Paid placements, if introduced, will be identified separately.
Our price method
Prices are selected seller-published references reviewed on 16 October 2026. We do not claim a representative Lahore market survey or an official rate list. Each row links to a source and identifies its unit. Rooftop rentals have no verified price sample yet.
Updates and corrections
The news review was refreshed on 23 October 2026 with the 20 October cabinet-approval report and an explicitly provisional trading timetable reported on 18 October. Shop and price references retain their 16 October check date. Source-report dates are distinguished from publication dates on this website.
This is an editorially maintained website, not a live news feed. Dates, source links and review labels help you judge freshness. Have newer information? Use the information form or email info@lahoribasant.com.
Privacy, simply
This version uses no analytics, advertising trackers, account system or submission database. The rooftop checklist can save your ticks in this browser’s local storage. Its values stay on your device and can be removed through your browser’s site-data controls.
The information form sends your name, email address and submitted details through our hosting server to our editorial mailbox for review and replies. Messages are retained in that mailbox as needed to handle your enquiry; contact us to request deletion. We do not publish your email address without permission. For spam prevention, the server keeps a hashed IP identifier and request counters in temporary storage in one-hour rate-limit windows, cleared on the next request after expiry; message contents are not stored there. Our host and mail provider process delivery and may keep their own logs. External links lead to independent websites with their own policies. Hosting providers may maintain normal access logs.
Our illustrations
The artwork on this site was created for Lahori Basant. It is an editorial interpretation of Lahore and its festival, not a photograph of an actual event or a certified venue.
