01

Start with the date, then the roof

The final 2027 flying window is not verified. Ask for a written change-of-date or refund policy before you pay. A festival announcement and permission to fly from a particular property are different things.

02

Visit before you book

Inspect the parapet, stairs, entrances and roof surface in daylight. Ask the owner how safe capacity was assessed and whether an inspection is required or completed. A parapet must meet the published minimum of 3.5 feet. Never accept an overcrowded roof or exposed electrical wires.

03

Ask for an itemised quote

Get the rental hours, guest limit, food, seating, washrooms, electricity, cleanup, parking arrangements and any deposit in writing. Confirm whether equipment is included and how the supplier’s current registration will be checked.

04

Agree the cancellation terms

Specify what happens if dates change, flying is prohibited at the location, visibility is poor or the weather makes the roof unsafe. Establish the refund amount, deadline and payment method. Keep receipts and verify who is entitled to rent the property.

05

Plan the day together

Identify the first-aid kit, an adult responsible for children and the clear exit route. Keep music within the rules. Do not climb parapets, water tanks or neighbouring buildings for a better view.

06

What should a rooftop cost?

We do not yet have a verified 2027 rental-price sample. Rates depend on location, capacity, duration and catering. Compare at least three itemised quotes. The budget tool lets you enter your own quote rather than treating an invented estimate as a market rate.
