Check the selling period first
Wait for a current official sales notice and verify the seller’s permission. A website, old certificate or QR sticker by itself does not establish current authorisation.
Measure the kite
The published specifications cap a patang at 35 × 30 inches and a gudda at 40 × 34 inches. Trade names such as tawa or githi do not replace those measurements. Check any revised 2027 specifications before buying.
Understand the dor
The published framework specifies cotton, at most nine strands and at least 28 count, wound as a pinna. Metallic, nylon, chemical and dangerous sharp strings are prohibited. Ask for the manufacturer’s traceable information; do not rely on a brand name as proof.
Compare equivalent quantities
Ask for length, strand count, yarn count and the exact number of pinnas. “Two piece” may describe quantity of line rather than two separate balls. Compare the same unit, and confirm the final price and whether sales and transport are permitted.
Keep evidence
Retain the invoice, seller details and product identification. Report suspicious material to the authorities. Our directory is a starting point for research; it does not certify sellers or products.
